How pricing works at WP ScaleUp

We price based on scope, risk and the level of support you need. The goal is always the same: a fair rate for you, and enough margin for us to do high-quality work without shortcuts.

  • Simple hourly rate for ongoing development and support.
  • Fixed-price packages for common needs (builds, optimizations, audits).
  • No surprise changes – any scope change is discussed and agreed in advance.
  • Invoices and payments aligned with clear milestones.

Choose your WordPress development pricing model.

Our WordPress development pricing is split into two simple options. Use hourly work if you want flexibility for ongoing tasks, fixes, or improvements. Choose a fixed package when you want a clearly defined outcome like a new site, a WooCommerce build, or a performance sprint.

WordPress pricing: hourly vs fixed packages — which should you choose?

Both models work – the right one depends on how clear your scope is, and whether you prefer flexibility or a tightly defined outcome.

Scenario
Hourly ($15/hr)
Fixed package
Small fixes & tweaks
Example: button, section or layout changes.
Perfect – quick, low friction, billed to actual work.
Overkill; project overhead isn’t worth it.
New marketing pages
Example: new landing page or sales page.
Works, but you may prefer a capped estimate.
Great – we agree on layout, content blocks and budget upfront.
Full site or store build
Example: 8–15 pages, WooCommerce store.
Possible, but harder to predict total hours.
Recommended – scope, milestones and price clearly defined.
Ongoing improvements & maintenance
Example: monthly support, site care, gradual enhancements.
Good – especially with monthly hour blocks or retainers.
Possible via monthly packages, priced custom.

Pricing & engagement questions we get a lot.

If something is unclear or your situation doesn’t fit into these boxes, share a quick overview on the contact page. We’ll explain your options and confirm realistic WordPress development pricing for your exact scope.

  • Is $15/hr valid for all types of work?
$15/hr is our standard rate for most WordPress & WooCommerce development, speed improvements and support. Highly specialized or urgent work may be quoted separately once we understand the requirements.
  • How do you estimate fixed projects?
We start by clarifying your goals, pages, key features and integrations. Then we estimate the work based on our experience with similar builds. You’ll see what’s included and what would count as “extra scope”.
  • Do you require upfront payment?
For fixed projects we usually work with milestone-based payments (for example 30% / 40% / 30%). For hourly work we may use pre-paid hour blocks, depending on the size of the engagement.
  • Can you work with my existing designer / agency?
Yes. We often collaborate with designers, in-house teams and agencies – either as the WordPress build partner or the performance / technical SEO specialist.
  • What if I only need a short audit or consultation?
That’s completely fine. We can do a focused consultation or mini-audit under the hourly model. If it makes sense, you can then upgrade to a bigger package later.
